The character of the house was perfect! But the kitchen was closed in, tiny and red! Removing the hallway wall and the powder room opened the kitchen to the front of the house. KitchenAid stainless steel appliances with an induction cooktop and down draft vent. Black Moon Soapstone countertops and a farmhouse sink – keeps the character of this home they love. The raised bar top is recycled eastern maple gym floor with an iron and vinegar finish. New fir floors were laced in to the existing fir floors in the remainder of the house. Columbia cabinetry painted iceberg highlights the perimeter of the kitchen while the island accent pieces painted stardust add to the charm of this 1913 home.
